Overview
MPX is a rich client application and database designed to allow the recording, storing and retrieval of mine production related data.
MPX is a windows application deployed via the internet using “Click Once” technology. This allows for automatic updates without the need of user interaction.
The MPX central database keeps track of all material movements and activities within the mining operation both for underground and open cut mines as well as the processing plant.
In addition to tracking development and stoping production it allows the user to record and report on consumable usage, drilling, development and day works. It is designed to capture data from plod sheets prepared daily by operators and shift supervisors and to provide a quick and simple means of preparing daily, weekly, monthly, year to date and project to date reports. The built in stockpile management facilitates the tracking of material movement and grades based on average grade, FIFO or LIFO calculations.
Interface
MPX provides a simple, consistent and intuitive user interface making the application easy to use and navigate. Windowed or tabbed views are used where appropriate to simplify and organise the information presented.
Security
Security is implemented via Active Directory role based membership. All users accessing MPX are identified by their Windows logon username and will be restricted to viewing or updating data based on their role membership.
Management of MPX users is achieved through standard Active Directory administration.
The MPX roles defined within the system are:
- MPX_Read – the default level of read-only access
- MPX_Edit – allows for data entry
- MPX_Mgmt – allows for data entry and reporting features
- MPX_Admin – unrestricted access
